Darren Laiche has loved basketball for almost 45 years.  He is a left-handed basketball player who started at Oakdale Playground in South Louisiana.  He went on to be a Captain of the 1989 State Champion Basketball Team at Archbishop Shaw High School.  He then played and lettered for 4 years in basketball at the University of New Orleans.  In his senior year, the 1993 Privateers went 18-0 in the Sun Belt Conference and played in the NCAA Tournament.  After finishing at UNO, Darren was an assistant basketball coach at Loyola University in New Orleans.  He then went back to his alma mater – Shaw High to be the Head Basketball Coach for 6 years from 1995 – 2001.  Those basketball teams won 2 Louisiana State Championships in the states highest classification.

Darren has moved on to spending more time with his family and helping people find the Health and Wellness products that fit their needs, but he stays close everyday to the game of basketball.  Playing, watching and chatting about basketball is part of everyday.  This basketball blog will be as good as your comments and participation.   Please jump in and bring HOOPS KNOWLEDGE, insight, opinions and some fun!
